It works as a walk-in day visit rather than a booked treatment, open from midday into the evening and later on Thursdays, so check current hours before going. Half a century of research into expanded states of consciousness, built on a single premise: you are more than the physical body. The nearest thing there is to a laboratory for the eternal. The campus covers more than 300 acres in the Blue Ridge foothills of Nelson County, Virginia. Robert A. Monroe, a radio producer who began having out-of-body experiences in 1958, founded it, and it runs as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that also runs research. Residential programmes last five days and six nights at the Nancy Penn Center or Roberts Mountain Retreat, once Monroe's home. Gateway Voyage is the entry point, built on his original binaural beat exercises. Others cover out-of-body states, lucid dreaming and remote viewing. Every place needs an approved application. Anyone with a history of seizures, auditory disorders or adverse mental health conditions is told to see a physician first.

SoulFlow Breathwork is her method: deep, rapid breathing to reach an altered state, music that moves from intense to calm, hands-on bodywork only if the breather asks, then a sharing circle and drawing or journaling. Retreats add hiking, cold plunge swimming and kayaking. The breathing is built to bring up repressed memories and strong release, so it suits people ready for cathartic work. Residential work happens at Amrita Integral Yoga Centre, twenty five minutes east of the old city in San Kamphaeng, purpose-built on sacred architecture principles with a wooden practice hall, a garden, a pool, and rooms for about forty. They also run silent meditation retreats over New Year, women's circles, and a full online catalogue. Chelsae Zirna is an Intimacy Practitioner who works at the intersection of relationships, embodiment, sexuality, emotional safety and authentic self-expression. Her work is rooted in a simple idea: intimacy is not about sex. Intimacy is about truth. Chelsae creates spaces for people to become more deeply connected to themselves, their bodies and the people they love. She works with individuals and couples to explore the places where intimacy can become blocked by fear, shame, disconnection, old patterns or the strategies we develop to protect ourselves. Drawing from tantric arts, embodiment, authentic relating, breathwork, shadow work, masculine and feminine dynamics and years of experience facilitating transformational spaces, Chelsae's work invites people beyond intellectual understanding and into lived experience. Her path to this work began in entrepreneurship and corporate America, eventually taking her around the world and into a deeper exploration of consciousness, spirituality, relationships and the body. Along the way she built international communities, created retreats and festivals, facilitated thousands of people through transformational experiences, and developed a body of work centered on returning people to what is most authentic within them. Today, intimacy is at the heart of that work.

Maxwell Honey had to heal himself before he could help anyone else heal. Since then, he has worked with indigenous medicine for more than fifteen years.[4] He is a trauma resolution coach, a breathwork facilitator and a plant medicine man, based out of Chiang Mai, but travels the world. Integration Retreat, Doi Saket

Mala Dhara, Doi Saket, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Four days and three nights at Mala Dhara, the eco resort and organic farm in Doi Saket, built around integration rather than the ceremony itself. IFS sessions beforehand, then embodied and artistic integration through singing, dance, art and yoga, then sharing circles and individual integration sessions after. The premise is the unglamorous one: what you met is worth nothing until it is metabolised.

Community Leader

Cameron Quin

International · Online

Cameron Quin is the founder of Henosis and the community leader of the network it holds. His work is convening rather than facilitating: finding the practitioners, spaces and retreats that already run on the understanding that humans are eternal beings, and building the infrastructure that lets people find them. He came to it from business rather than from spirituality. He built and exited companies in renewable energy, and co-founded Mind You, a mental health company serving organisations across Asia, leaving its board in 2023. That history is the point rather than a footnote: he is the bridge between the boardroom and the sacred, and he does not hide either half. He hosts Already Naked, an unscripted interview show, and is writing a book of the same name. He speaks on consciousness, identity, and what a person actually is underneath the version of themselves they present.

Fernando Berghella

Melbourne, Australia

Fernando Berghella is an Australian disability support director and the co-founder of Personalised Support Systems, a provider running two hubs in Melbourne.[1][2] He came to it after more than a decade working in the sector, with formal training in exercise physiology, and he works from the premise that support should be personal.[1] He founded the company in 2018 with a co-founder, Matthew, against the normal shape of the industry: rotating rosters, clinical language, and a relationship that resets every time the staffing does.[1] Their answer is to match on personality and then hold the match in place, so that support feels like friendship.[1] He works inside the hubs, and stays reachable to participants and families.[1] He is listed here as a Community Leader.[5] His current venture is Path Collective, a discovery platform for facilitators, communities and experiences, launching first in Melbourne.[5][7]
