Foundation for Shamanic Studies Asia

Bali, Indonesia, teaching across Asia

The Asia and Oceania arm of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, the non-profit Michael Harner founded to teach core shamanism and to help endangered shamanic traditions survive. It runs the Foundation's training across the region. Everything starts with The Way of the Shaman, two days with the drum and your own spirit helpers. The advanced courses build on it: extraction healing, psychopomp work with the dying and the dead, soul retrieval, divination, dreamwork and the spirits of nature. Residential series run in Northern Thailand and Bali, with courses in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Cambodia. Not a weekend of borrowed ritual. The method Harner spent his life recovering, taught by the people he trained.
