Eleven days in Northern Thailand, four two-day courses from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, taught in the order they were designed to be taken. The Way of the Shaman comes first: the drum, the trance it opens, and meeting the spirit helpers you will work with for the rest of your life. Then extraction, the classic method of removing what does not belong in a body. Then Shamanism, Dying & Beyond, on dying, the navigation after death and the work of guiding souls on. Last, Power Soul Retrieval, returning the parts of a person that left at the moment of trauma. Take all four, or the last three if you have already done The Way of the Shaman with the Foundation. Staying at the retreat centre is optional and recommended. Together the four meet the minimum requirement for the Foundation's Three-Year Program in Bali.
