Kym Masterson

Wellness practitioner and founder of Pachamama Solutions

Kym Masterson is the practitioner behind Pachamama Solutions, where she works with parasite and heavy metal cleanse protocols she designed herself, helping others move from ill health to optimal positive health.[1] She works with clients in person and online, and people travel specifically to work with her.[1]

Her work grew out of her own illness. She grew up on a small hobby farm in Australia, left home young and had her first child at seventeen. At twenty she lost the sight in her left eye, and just before her twenty-first birthday doctors raised multiple sclerosis as a possible diagnosis. By twenty-four, after the birth of her second child, she had lost the use of her legs, and she spent the next four and a half years moving between hospital, a walking stick and a wheelchair.[1]

Offered a clinical trial or a future in a wheelchair, she discharged herself against medical advice, spent months researching in the Brisbane City Library, and rebuilt her health through diet and her own research.[1]

Illness

Kym lost the sight in her left eye at twenty, over the course of several days. Doctors first treated it as an infection, then ran tests that found no vision remained. She still has no sight in that eye.[1]

Just before her twenty-first birthday, doctors raised multiple sclerosis as a possible diagnosis and told her they would know more as further symptoms appeared. Within months of her second child's birth at twenty-four she lost the use of her legs. The next four and a half years were spent in and out of hospital, first on a walking stick and then in a wheelchair, on varying medications she was told would alleviate her symptoms.[1]

Leaving the hospital system

After four and a half years, told to prepare for a wheelchair full time or join a clinical trial, Kym discharged herself from hospital against medical advice. Her mother drove her to the Brisbane City Library, and she spent months there researching.[1]

That research took her into the history of the 1910 Flexner Report and John D. Rockefeller's part in shaping American medical education. It is the root of her view that mainstream medicine is built around treating symptoms rather than causes.[1]

Her phrase for what came after is "healing is never an event." She treats health as ongoing maintenance, with no single cure at the end of it.[1]

Pachamama Solutions

Kym's protocol centres on clearing parasites, which she groups into more than a hundred types across four categories, and heavy metals, which build up in the digestive tract over time. She designed it herself and keeps the detail for private client sessions.[1]

Two other things run through her practice. One is moringa leaf powder, which she took up after seeing what it did for a friend in Mullumbimby, New South Wales. The other is colloidal silver, which she has made and used for twenty-five to thirty years, long enough that some people call her the Silver Queen.[1]

Pachamama Solutions keeps a public Facebook page.[2]
