Health and wellness entrepreneur, chiropractor, breathwork speaker and musician, Bangkok, Thailand
Sarun Lorhpipat, known as Kane, is a Bangkok health and wellness entrepreneur who works where the science of the body meets the spiritual side of life. He has consulted for major hospitals and wellness projects across Thailand in the physiotherapy and anti-aging industries,[1] among them one of the country's most sophisticated integrated luxury wellness and anti-ageing centres.[5]
He is a speaker on breath. His TEDx talk, Breathing: The Science Behind Every Breath, shows how conscious breathing lowers stress, sharpens focus and changes health one breath at a time.[1]
He is also a spiritual musician and singer-songwriter, a speaker on modern spirituality and personal growth, and a rock climber who has climbed on several continents and trained some of Thailand's top climbers. In 2012 he cycled more than 6,000 kilometres across the United States, from Providence to Seattle.[1][2]
His TEDx talk starts from the most automatic thing the body does. Breathing usually runs without anyone noticing; used on purpose, and backed by research and real-life application, it becomes a tool for reducing stress, improving focus and supporting overall wellness.[1]
In Bangkok he is part of MLife Therapy, a clinic that brings physiotherapy and holistic treatment together to help people rehabilitate, recover and move without pain.[3] Its work covers physiotherapy, spinal adjustment, cupping and wellness consulting, and its Performance Lab runs VO2max and biomechanics testing for people who want to get the most out of their sport.[3][4]
Kane is a committed rock climber. He has climbed on multiple continents and has trained some of Thailand's top climbers.[1]
Beyond the health work he is a spiritual musician and singer-songwriter, and he speaks on modern spirituality and personal growth.[1]
In 2012 Kane was one of three Purdue students riding Bike & Build, the cross-country charity ride. In the run-up he was out fundraising on campus in the snow, riding a trainer beside a donation box.[2] The ride itself took him more than 6,000 kilometres, from Providence, Rhode Island, to Seattle.[1]
Kane finished at Harrow International School Bangkok in 2009, the school where he later gave his TEDx talk, and went on to Purdue University in Indiana for a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology.[1] That grounding in how the body actually works runs through everything he does.[1]
