This is a Mayan cacao ceremony in Bangkok, on Saturday 10 October 2026, held by Carlos Balam from the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. The cacao is ceremonial grade and it is prepared and served the way his people have served it, not as a drink with a story attached to it. Carlos plays live through the evening on ancestral instruments, and Kane Lorh, founder of The Awakening, plays his icaros after the ceremony closes.
The night opens at 3.30pm with the Inner Stillness Soundbath, a sound healing of gongs, Himalayan bowls and crystal bowls held by Kate of Auralis Sound Healing. That part is capped at ten places and it is booked with the ticket. Everyone coming for the cacao ceremony is welcomed from 4.30pm at a private residence in Bangkok, and the address goes out once a place is confirmed. Tickets are sold in releases, and the early bird release closes on the twentieth of September.
