Bangkok

Only the twelve percent ever hit the wall.

A 2022 Mahidol University survey of 1,280 Bangkok workers found 12% had burnout syndrome, and a further 57% were on their way there. Almost every wellbeing budget is spent on the first group. This is about the second.

The number that matters is the second one

The survey was reported alongside a warning from the NESDC, Thailand's national planning agency, that burnout was undermining the workforce. That was 2022. In 2026, 45% of the workers Jobsdb surveyed across Thailand said they were experiencing burnout or exhaustion at work.

Twelve percent have broken. Fifty-seven percent have not, and they are still in the building: still turning up, still delivering, still calling it normal. The tight chest before the Monday meeting. The short fuse that arrives at four every afternoon. None of that is a personality. It is a nervous system that has forgotten what a healthy baseline feels like.

Why a burnout programme cannot reach them

Nobody puts their hand up for a programme that says they are the one who broke.

Buying it is an admission, made in front of the people you report to. So the programme fills with the few who have already fallen, the rest of the building keeps going, and a year later the budget has been spent and nothing has moved.

We do not sell repair. We work with the baseline underneath it: how much pressure a person can carry, and how well they recover from it. That is something the strongest team in the company can sponsor, and nobody has to lose face to take part.

The Social pillar now asks for numbers

2025 was the last round of SET ESG Ratings.Under them, 263 listed companies held a rating, and a company had to score at least 50% in each dimension to qualify, Social included. SET's Social indicators named human rights, talent attraction, and health and safety.

From 2026, Thai listed companies are assessed under FTSE Russell ESG Scores, and the FTSE4Good Thailand Index launched in July 2026. An international methodology, index inclusion attached to the result, and a Social pillar that has to be evidenced rather than described.

We will not tell you this work is a compliance product. It is not one. In the briefing we will tell you plainly what an engagement can show your sustainability team, and what it cannot.

There is no clinical system to lean on

Thailand has about 1.3 psychiatrists for every 100,000 people, according to the Thai Health 2025 report. The pressure inside a Bangkok office has almost nowhere clinical to go.

Which is exactly why the boundary matters. Henosis is not the missing psychiatrist. We facilitate: we do not diagnose or treat. Participation is voluntary, anyone in acute crisis has a private path out, and confidentiality is agreed in writing before day one. The safeguards, in full.

Anything we learn about your people is health information under Thailand's PDPA, which requires explicit consent. It is collected on that basis, or it is not collected.

The buyer and the venue are in the same city

Almost everywhere else in Asia, a programme is sold in one country and delivered in another. In Bangkok you can meet on a Tuesday and walk the venue on Wednesday, with Hua Hin and Khao Yai a few hours' drive from the office. Offsites and immersions stop being a logistics project.

Forward this to whoever holds the budget

A 2022 Mahidol University survey of 1,280 Bangkok workers found 12% with burnout syndrome and a further 57% at risk. In 2026, 45% of workers surveyed by Jobsdb across Thailand reported burnout or exhaustion. Thailand has about 1.3 psychiatrists per 100,000 people, so there is little clinical capacity to absorb it. From 2026 listed companies are assessed under FTSE Russell ESG Scores; under the SET ESG Ratings before them, talent attraction and health and safety were named Social indicators, and Social had to clear 50% on its own.
