Breathwork coach, yoga teacher and speaker, Sydney, Australia
Jourdi Bleu is a breathwork coach, yoga teacher and speaker based in Sydney, Australia, originally from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She is operations manager, mindset coach and instructor at This Is Yoga, which has studios in Clovelly and Randwick.[1][2]
A car accident at fifteen set off an addiction that took in oxycontin during the opioid epidemic; she was in rehab at eighteen, and she lost a partner to an overdose during a later relapse.[3] Yoga was her way out, and the wild nights gave way to early mornings and sobriety.[4]
In March 2024 she gave the Women's International Day keynote at an i-DIAS Global Conferences event in Paris.[6] She is a co-author of the anthology Dream to Rise, and in 2022 she appeared as a charter guest in the first season of Bravo's Below Deck Down Under.[1][5]
Jourdi came to yoga through her mother, after an injury ended her competitive gymnastics.[1] She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Body Mind Life in Sydney in 2016.[1]
At This Is Yoga, with studios in Clovelly and Randwick, she is operations manager, mindset coach and instructor.[1][2] She also founded Bondi X Party, a sober-focused entertainment company.[1]
Her recovery story is told in full on the podcast Challenges That Change Us, in an episode titled "Escaping the grip of a destructive drug addiction."[3] A car accident at fifteen was the turning point toward escalating substance use, including addiction to oxycontin. Alcohol was, in her words, "intrinsically connected into my identity." She first went to rehab at eighteen, and lost a partner to an overdose during a later relapse.[3]
Today she puts it simply: "I once measured my worth in wild nights," and now she gets up early and sits "in awe of the sunrise."[4] On the way through she tried yoga, breathwork, meditation, life coaching, shamanic healing, energy work, twelve-step programmes, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.[7]
Her core offer is a three-month embodied breathwork programme combined with one-to-one coaching, alongside keynote speaking and in-person retreats and events.[4] She trained in Embodied Breathwork under Karina Kalilah at This Is Yoga.[9]
She also runs an online programme called "Fuck Yes Energy."[8]
Dream to Rise is an anthology of women who have "gone from darkness to light," with Jourdi among twenty contributors. She sells personally signed copies through her website.[5]
Jourdi left the corporate world to start her own business, and speaks as a women's coach, yoga teacher and inspirational speaker.[7] In March 2024 she gave the Women's International Day keynote at an i-DIAS Global Conferences event in Paris.[6] In April 2025 she spoke at an event in Sedona, Arizona.[10]
She has been a guest on podcasts including Challenges That Change Us, She Rises Studio and Hey Sober Vegan.[10]
