TThe Asclepius of Epidaurus was the most sacred healing institution of ancient Greece. This programme revives its protocols. The backbone is a herbal regime prepared by a master Asclepian herbalist. As the herbs purify the body of parasites, heavy metals and accumulated toxins, deeper layers of psyche and soul open, and that is where the real work happens. It follows the Hippocratic principles: do no harm, and least interventions first. Everything begins with the intake. You go home with the protocol and the practice, not a memory of a nice week.

At Epidaurus they purified the body so the dream could speak.

Your room. Shared or private, en-suite. The exact configuration follows once the property is contracted.
The group. Up to twenty, on a single property held for the group.
The intake. A diagnostic intake first: blood and urine results, with photographs of the fingernails, ears and eyes, calibrate the regime to you.
The herbs. Prepared by a master Asclepian herbalist to formulas taken from ancient Greek medical and philosophical texts.
The mornings. The Nine Sacred Marriages of Zeus, one each morning for the first nine days.
Food. Plant based, whole, nothing refined. Set by the stage you are in. There is no menu.
Getting there. Fly to Koh Samui (USM). You are met at the airport and driven in, both ways included.
Afterwards. Your take-home protocol pack, the Kundalini course as a practice you keep, and integration guidance.

Five stages. One turn of the moon.

The protocol runs in a fixed order. Each stage prepares the body for the one after it, which is why the sequence is not negotiable. Alongside it, the Nine Sacred Marriages of Zeus guide and ground the inner work, and two strands of energy work support it: one from ancient Greece, the other Kundalini Yoga, from ancient India.

Fasting and herbal protocols are not suitable for everyone. That is why the intake comes first.

Before you apply: Every application is read by the team before a place is offered. Some people will be declined, and some will be asked for bloodwork before a decision.
What we ask: You will be asked about cardiac, kidney and metabolic history, pregnancy and breastfeeding, any history of disordered eating, current psychiatric care, and every medication you take.
Medication: If you are on medication, keep taking it and tell us what it is. Do not stop anything to qualify. Say the true thing on the form.
During the fortnight: If something goes wrong, tell us the same day and the protocol is adjusted around you. Nobody fasts unsupervised.
Medical cover: Koh Samui has a full private hospital, which is one of the reasons the island works for a protocol that fasts people.

Koh Samui sits in the Gulf of Thailand, off the Surat Thani coast. Late November is the end of the rains there, so the green is heavy and the sea is warm. The property is being contracted and will be published here once it is signed, with its own photographs rather than somebody else's.

You will not see much of the island, and that is the point.

That is the point. The days are long, the drought week asks you to stay still, and this is not a holiday with a protocol attached. But the water is there, and walking down to it late in the afternoon is part of what the fourteen days are for.

No amenity is listed on this page until it can be confirmed against a signed contract. That is deliberate: everything else here is true, and a facility list invented in advance would be the one thing on the page that is not.

Questions people actually ask

No. The programme can be administered remotely and guided individually online from wherever you are in the world. The residential immersions exist for people who would rather be held by hand through it, with daily guidance, community, and every treatment delivered in person.

It is the most demanding stretch of the fourteen days, and it is supposed to be. Intake reduces, activity reduces, and the programme empties out into rest and stillness under close supervision. Nobody fasts unsupervised and nobody is left to push through alone.

Because the protocol is lunar, and the tradition sets it that way. Fourteen days held in person , opening on the full moon and closing as the moon goes dark It is not decoration, it determines when the stages fall.

Yes. Ten days, 24 November to 3 December, is offered for anyone who cannot give the full fortnight. Both rooms are US$1,000 less on the ten-day option.

Apply and tell us exactly what you take. Some medications rule the programme out, some do not, and the only way to know is the intake. Do not stop anything to qualify. That is the one thing that will get you declined.

Yes. The same method runs at Insda, Chiang Mai, 26 October to 8 November 2026, and at Epidaurus, Greece, 22 January to 4 February 2027.

The deposit is payable on acceptance, once the intake is reviewed, and the balance ahead of arrival. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to a future immersion. If you are declined at intake, nothing is charged. The full terms are on our refunds and cancellations page.

The method

Just as the physical detoxification eliminates literal parasites, the programme clears parasitic influences from the emotional, relational, mental, energetic and spiritual layers of being.

Eight hundred years of continuous practice sit behind this. It is not a wellness format assembled last year.
