Somatic trauma specialist, educator and TEDx speaker, twenty years into working with complex trauma, sexual abuse, trafficking, war and displacement. Master's in Clinical Art Therapy from La Trobe, graduate diplomas in Transpersonal Art Therapy and Holistic Counselling, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and a PhD candidate at the European Graduate School researching somatic and creative trauma recovery for sex-trafficked survivors in Asia. Founder and international program director of Art to Healing, the charity she built for trauma recovery from child sex slavery and gender-based violence across Asia and the Pacific. Has trained more than a thousand facilitators in trauma-informed practice, and is Head of Integration at AYA Healing Retreats. Her line of work is the felt sense: what the body knows before the mind gets there.
